On November 28, 2023, Ho Chi Minh City University of Law held a working session with representatives from The College of Law and the Global Education and Training Advisory Organization (TET), Australia.
Attending the working session were representatives from Ho Chi Minh City University of Law, including President Le Truong Son, along with leaders from various departments and centers under the university. From the College of Law, there were Ms. Angie Zandstra, Director in charge of Commerce, and Mr. James Jung, Director in charge of Programs. Representing the Global Education and Training Advisory Organization (TET), there were Ms. Jane Tran, Advisor for International Education Development and CEO, and Ms. Trinh Thi Hai Phuong, International Education Development Expert.
To commence the working session, on behalf of Ho Chi Minh City University of Law, President Le Truong Son expressed the desire to collaborate with potential international partner institutions in order to establish joint training programs in Master's degrees in Legal English, Business Administration, and Law. Additionally, there is an interest in providing short-term training for lecturers and organizing international workshops. President Le Truong Son expressed the hope that the working session would serve as an opportunity for all parties to collaborate and enhance the teaching and research environment.

Ms. Jane Tran, Advisor for Global Education and Training Development at TET, discussed with Ho Chi Minh City University of Law the potential and prospects for collaboration that align with the university's goals and aspirations. Ms. Jane Tran affirmed that the College of Law is one of the potential partners due to its specialization and expertise in the legal field.

Ms. Angie Zandstra, Director in charge of Commerce at the College of Law, expressed her delight in working with Ho Chi Minh City University of Law. The College of Law is one of the institutions specializing in training lawyers and postgraduate programs, as well as offering short-term legal training courses. It has a close relationship with leading law firms in Australia. Therefore, the training programs, faculty resources, and research activities of the College of Law focus on practical aspects, equipping students with solid knowledge and a good understanding of the multinational legal profession. The College has been and continues to produce high-quality lawyers for society, not only in Australia, New Zealand, but also in the United Kingdom.

During the working session, the parties had specific discussions regarding potential areas of collaboration in the future. The College of Law emerged as a promising international partner with its reputable brand and expertise in organizing postgraduate training programs and providing high-quality human resources to meet the needs of the legal industry. With a desire to collaborate with Ho Chi Minh City University of Law, Ms. Angie Zandstra expressed her willingness to engage in further discussions after the meeting to develop a training program that meets the university's requirements. In addition, the representatives from the respective units affirmed their readiness to support the university in coordinating scientific workshops and professional development training programs to enhance foreign language skills for the faculty.
After the deliberations, the parties clarified their goals and prospective collaborative training plans and reached a consensus on several expected areas of cooperation. This laid the foundation for a long-term and sustainable partnership between the university and the participating entities in the future.
